By signing up as a Teacher (hereinafter referred to as 'Teaching Account') on the Takbir platform, you agree to these Teaching Account Terms ("Terms"). These Terms cover the key guidelines and responsibilities for teachers and are part of Takbir’s general Terms of Use. Any undefined terms here will have the same meaning as outlined in the Terms of Use. When you become Teacher on Takbir, you are entering into an agreement with Takbir.
This agreement is just an addition to Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
2. Subject Limitations
Teachers are allowed to teach courses related to Islamic knowledge and Deen, including Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Islamic history, and similar topics. Courses that benefit humanity, improve lives, and support communities are also welcome. These can include areas like mental health, community service, ethical leadership, and other subjects that align with Islamic values. Teaching unrelated topics is not allowed.
3. Content License
As a Teacher, you are responsible for all content you create and share on Takbir ("Submitted Content"), including but not limited to lectures, quizzes, tests, assignments, resources, and announcements. You agree to:
Provide accurate and updated account information.
Own or have the rights, permissions, and authority for your Submitted Content.
Ensure your Submitted Content is free from copyright or intellectual property infringements.
Maintain the necessary qualifications, skills, and expertise to teach your courses.
Deliver high-quality content and instruction in line with industry standards.
You agree NOT to:
Post inappropriate, offensive, or unlawful content.
Share unsolicited promotions or spam through the platform.
Use Takbir for any business outside teaching or tutoring, including any spoken content, visuals, or material in recorded course videos that is unrelated to the course topic. Promotion of other Takbir courses is permitted; promotion of courses, services, or platforms outside Takbir is not.
Misrepresent yourself or your credentials.
Impersonate other teachers or interfere with their content.
Content Ownership & Platform Exclusivity
Teachers retain full intellectual property rights over their course content.
However, all video recordings produced specifically for Takbir (including studio or platform-supported recordings) are exclusive to Takbir and may not be uploaded, sold, or distributed on other platforms.
Teachers are permitted to:
1. Repurpose ideas, themes, and written material
2. Re-record similar content for other platforms
But the original produced for Takbir video recordings must remain exclusive to Takbir.
By publishing your Submitted Content on Takbir, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive right to use, promote, and distribute your content. Takbir may also sublicense this content to students or third-party partners for educational and promotional purposes.
You may remove your content from the platform at any time. However, students who have already enrolled will retain lifetime access.
3.1 Content Exclusivity
Teachers retain full ownership and rights over their course content, including the underlying ideas, research, teaching methodology, and any material they develop. This clause does not restrict a Teacher's right to reuse, repurpose, or re-record similar content on other platforms, provided it is not identical or substantially identical to the content submitted to Takbir.
Teachers may freely repurpose the underlying ideas, themes, research, and written material, and may re-record new versions of similar content for use on other platforms, so long as the resulting content is not the same or a near-identical copy of the Takbir-submitted recording.
If a Teacher wishes to use the identical or substantially identical content submitted to Takbir on another platform, they must request written approval from Takbir in advance. Approval may be granted at Takbir's discretion and may be subject to conditions.
Publishing identical or substantially identical content on another platform without prior written approval will be treated as a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension and further action as outlined in section 15.
3.2 Course Promo Video Requirement
All teachers are required to submit a course promotional video when publishing a new course. This video must be a maximum of 1 minute in final edited form and serve as a visual call-to-action (CTA) to attract potential students. Teachers may either provide their own raw footage (up to 5 minutes) for Takbir to professionally edit, or submit a fully edited 1-minute promo themselves. Takbir reserves the right to review and enhance the promo video to ensure it meets platform quality and marketing standards.
3.3 Course Review, Approval & Takbir Oversight Rights
All content uploaded to the Takbir platform is subject to review and approval. Takbir reserves the right not to publish any course that does not meet our standards or violates our policies. In the event that a course is mistakenly published due to technical or human error, Takbir maintains the right to unpublish or remove such content without prior notice. However, we will notify the teacher after the content has been taken down, along with a clear explanation if the content was found to be in violation of our policies.
Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days' written notice, with or without cause. Upon termination or discontinuation of a Teacher's account or a specific course:
New sales of the course will cease immediately.
Students already enrolled retain lifetime access, and Takbir's post-termination rights are limited to servicing them - not to new sales or continued promotion.
Takbir may retain and use recordings only to service existing enrolled students, for a maximum of 60 days, after which they will be removed from the platform.
Exclusivity ends in accordance with Section 3.1, regardless of continued post-termination servicing of enrolled students.
Any outstanding revenue owed to the Teacher will be paid within 60 days of termination.
Unused or unpublished material will be deleted or returned to the Teacher, at the Teacher's election.
Beyond maintaining existing student access, Takbir will not use the terminated content for any new marketing, advertising, or promotional activity following termination. This clause does not require Takbir to remove, retract, or delete content, posts, or materials published or shared prior to the termination date, including but not limited to social media posts, advertisements, or third-party shares.
4. Trust and Safety
Takbir is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
Policies and Standards: You agree to follow Takbir’s trust and safety guidelines, including content quality and restricted topic policies.
Content Removal: We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend your account if it violates our policies or negatively impacts students’ experiences.
Co-Teachers: You may add co-teachers or teaching assistants, but you are responsible for ensuring they follow these Teaching Account Terms. Any violations by them may affect your account.
Regardless of whether a Teacher operates as an Independent Teacher or as a Teaching Resource & Success Team (TRST)-partnered Teacher, or is otherwise onboarded through self-registration or data aggregated from third-party or online sources, all Teachers are classified uniformly as "Takbir Platform Users" for the purposes of communication, marketing, and promotional outreach.
This means:
Takbir reserves the right to contact any Teacher — irrespective of their enrollment path or program status (Independent or TRST-partnered) — regarding platform updates, promotional opportunities, marketing campaigns, and course-related announcements.
Participation in, or absence from, the TRST program (Section 9) does not create a separate communication or marketing category; all Teachers remain subject to the same outreach terms.
This section operates in conjunction with, and is governed by, the marketing and communication terms set out in Takbir's Privacy Policy, specifically the "Unified User Classification & Marketing Outreach" section.
5. Pricing and Payments
5.1 Pricing
As a teacher, you set the base price for your courses. Takbir may adjust prices for promotions, currency conversions, or regional pricing.
Takbir applies a floor pricing policy under its Takbir Barakah Program to maintain fairness, consistency, and value across all courses on the platform. The program ensures that every course upholds its educational worth while providing equitable earnings to teachers and accessible learning opportunities for students worldwide.
All Teaching Accounts are automatically included in this program by default.
For complete details regarding pricing structure, participation, and adjustments, please refer to the Takbir Barakah Program Complete Details.
5.2 Revenue Share
Revenue is calculated based on the net amount received from learners after deductions for payment processing fees, taxes, and platform costs. Your share depends on how the course is sold:
94% for sales through your own promotion (referral link or course URL)
75% for sales through Takbir's platform traffic (emails, website, search)
50% for TRST-partnered sales, changing to 30% from 1 January 2027
Full details: Takbir Revenue Share. Where a specific promotion states a different revenue share, those terms apply instead.
5.3 Payment Processing
Payments will be made in USD or other supported currencies through Stripe. You are responsible for providing accurate payment and tax information.
1. Teacher-Controlled Pricing
Takbir currently allows Teachers to set the price of their courses based on their audience, market demand, content value, and professional discretion.
Teachers may adjust their course pricing at any time unless otherwise restricted by Takbir policies or promotional events.
In the event that a payment is made in a currency other than United States Dollars (USD), the applicable currency conversion shall be processed by the payment service provider. Any fees associated with such currency conversion shall be reflected in the calculation of the teacher’s payable amount. The platform’s revenue share shall remain unaffected by such fees.
2. Takbir’s Right to Modify Pricing Models
Takbir reserves the right to modify, restructure, or introduce new pricing models at any time as part of strategic business decisions.
Potential future pricing structures may include, but are not limited to:
1. Subscription-based access (monthly/annual)
2. Bundled pricing
3. Platform-wide standardized price ranges
4. Tiered pricing or marketplace-wide promotions
Any such changes will be implemented to support platform sustainability, improve learner accessibility, and maintain fairness for all teachers.
2.1 Course Pricing Consistency
If a course (or substantially similar content) is offered free of charge on any other platform, it must also be offered free on Takbir.
A course may be priced on Takbir only if there are meaningful and substantial differences, such as:
1. Additional modules or lessons
2. Updated or expanded content
3. Enhanced structure, resources, or assessments
Takbir reserves the right to request clarification on content differences to ensure fair pricing for learners.
2.2 Platform Access Fees (Future Possibility)
While Takbir currently offers free access for teachers to create accounts and publish courses, Takbir reserves the right to introduce access, service, or
subscription fees in the future.
As with pricing structure changes, teachers will be notified through the required 3-step communication process before any such updates take effect.
3. Communication Prior to Pricing Structure Changes
To ensure full transparency, Takbir will provide a minimum of three (3) official communications before implementing any pricing model change that affects teachers.
These communications will be sent through:
1- Email
2- In-dashboard notifications
3- Additional channels as needed (e.g., in-app alerts)
Communication timeline:
30 days before implementation
14 days before implementation
4 days before implementation
Teachers are responsible for reviewing all notifications and taking any required action before the effective date.
4. Protection of Existing Students & Purchases
Any pricing changes or new structures will not affect students who have already purchased a course.
Lifetime or ongoing access previously granted will remain valid according to the terms active at the time of purchase.
Students enrolled in free courses will not be impacted by pricing updates.
5. Teacher Responsibility
Teachers are responsible for monitoring announcements and reviewing pricing-related updates within their dashboard.
If teachers do not update their pricing before a pricing model change takes effect, Takbir may adjust course pricing in accordance with the new structure.
6. 6-Day Grace Period for Price Changes
Any platform-wide price adjustments that apply to teacher courses will include a minimum 6-day grace period before becoming active.
During this grace period, teachers may choose to adjust content, pricing, or participation based on the new structure.
6. Refunds and Student Rights
Students are entitled to refunds under Takbir’s Refund Policy. If a refund is granted for your course, you will not receive revenue from that transaction. Any refund adjustments may be deducted from your future payouts.
Students must first initiate a refund request directly with the teacher. As the course creator, you are responsible for handling refund inquiries and processing refunds where applicable. If you decline or disagree with a refund request, the student may escalate the concern to Takbir by opening a formal dispute. In such cases, Takbir will review the issue and mediate a resolution between you and the student.
By teaching on Takbir, you grant Takbir the authority to mediate disputes and agree to abide by Takbir’s final decision in cases where direct resolution is not achieved. You are expected to cooperate fully in this process and honor any refund outcomes that result from our mediation.
7. Tax Obligations
If a teacher resides in the United States, they are required to submit a valid tax form (such as a W-9) before receiving any payouts from Takbir.
This is necessary for IRS reporting and legal compliance.
Payouts may be withheld or delayed until the required documentation is received and verified.
Teachers are solely responsible for accurately reporting their income to local tax authorities in their respective countries.
8. Trademarks and Branding
As a Teacher, you may use Takbir’s branding and trademarks solely for promoting your courses on Takbir. You may not use Takbir’s branding in a misleading or unlawful manner.
Takbir offers an optional partnership program for teachers who want end-to-end professional support in producing and promoting their pre-recorded courses. This is not mandatory and is designed for those who want to maximize the impact of their course offerings with the help of our Teaching Success Team (TRST).
9.1 Planning, Publishing & Promotion
The Teaching Resource & Success Team (TRST) helps guide teachers through the full course lifecycle-from planning to launch and promotion.
9.2 Course Production Support
Teachers may receive support with:
Video production at their location (within the USA), at our NY studio, or at another studio location as arranged.
Professional video recording and editing to ensure high-quality content delivery.
9.3 Visual & Marketing Assets
Takbir will provide graphic and design support, including:
Course thumbnails and promotional images
Flyers and postcards for print and digital use
Social media graphics and web banners
9.4 Optional Advertising Support
For teachers enrolled in the TRST program, Takbir will provide:
Creation of over 15 professional ad creatives
Campaign setup, strategy, and management guidance
Ongoing support to improve reach and learner engagement
Teachers are responsible for covering their own Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad spend, according to the budget they choose.
For teachers collaborating with the Teaching Resource & Success Team (TRST), a dedicated TRST-managed email account will be automatically added to their teaching account. This access is granted solely for the purpose of assisting with course content management, updates, and related support activities. By participating in a TRST collaboration, the teacher consents to this access arrangement.
Studio recording is recommended to ensure the best quality. However, if the teacher chooses home recording, the revenue share remains the same and does not affect overall pricing. Takbir supports with planning, recording guidance, editing, and publishing
10. Paid Promotion for Independent Teachers
Teachers not enrolled in the TRST program may still access Takbir’s ad campaign services:
Initial Campaign: $1,000 (includes ad creatives, ad setup, and ad campaign management)
Each Additional Campaign: $600
Teachers may also run their own campaigns independently if they prefer.
10.1 Student Engagement and Support
Teachers must designate a team member (or themselves) to promptly address student queries and provide necessary support throughout the course duration. This ensures an engaging and responsive learning experience for students.
Upselling & Promotional Content
Course sessions on Takbir must remain focused on educational content and the learning objectives of the course.
Teachers are requested to:
1. Avoid frequent or direct upselling within lesson videos
2. Keep promotional mentions minimal and non-disruptive
If a teacher wishes to promote:
1. Coaching services
2. Advanced programs
3. External offerings
This should be done through:
A separate promotional video, or approved non-intrusive placements outside core lesson content
Takbir aims to protect a focused and distraction-free learning experience for students.
If a Teacher wishes to discontinue teaching on Takbir, the notice and termination process set out in Section 3.4 applies. In addition, during the notice period the Teacher is required to:
Ensure continued student engagement and support during the notice period.
Your content will not be publicly visible. You may contact support to cancel the deletion request.
After 30 days, your account and associated data may be permanently deleted, except for:
Any course content already accessed or purchased by students, which will remain available to them to preserve their learning experience. Records
necessary for compliance, legal, or refund-related obligations.
Takbir retains the right to preserve certain information as required by applicable law or policy.
If a teacher wishes to discontinue teaching on Takbir, they are required to:
Provide a minimum 30-day written notice before termination (by emailing our support team).
Ensure continued student engagement and support during the notice period, or until a suitable transition plan is approved by Takbir.
Respond to any outstanding student queries and obligations during this time.
Even after discontinuation:
Your published courses and materials may remain accessible to students who have already enrolled.
If any enrolled students request a refund, the teacher remains fully responsible for addressing and honoring that refund, in line with our Refund Policy.
If Takbir has already paid out earnings related to those enrollments, and a refund is issued afterward, the teacher is financially responsible for returning that amount. Takbir may recover the funds through future payouts or request direct reimbursement from the teacher.
Takbir reserves the right to withhold pending payouts if a teacher exits without fulfilling these obligations, in order to protect student experience and course integrity.
For Teaching Accounts partnered with TRST, any course published on Takbir must remain active for a minimum period of one (1) year from its official launch date.
Teachers may not unpublish, discontinue, or delete their course before completing this initial one-year term.
If a teacher wishes to request an exception or reduced timeline, they may contact the TRST Team directly. Submission of a request does not guarantee approval; the team will review based on course performance, learner impact, and other relevant factors.
All paid learners will retain lifetime access to the course, even if the course is later unpublished or discontinued.
If an independent Teaching Account chooses to discontinue teaching on Takbir or requests to delete a course, the course will remain accessible to all learners who have previously paid for it.
This ensures learners retain lifetime access to their enrolled courses, as originally promised at the time of purchase.
While the course may be removed from public listings or new enrollments, existing learners will continue to have full access to their purchased content.
By publishing a course with a 'Public' status, the teacher (hereinafter referred to as the "Teaching Account") acknowledges and agrees that Takbir reserves the unrestricted right to promote, advertise, and market the course without requiring any prior consent or approval from the Teaching Account.
This right includes, but is not limited to, the use of the course graphics, contents or associated materials in:
Social media campaigns
Video productions
Print media
Any other marketing channels or promotional formats deemed appropriate by Takbir
The Teaching Account expressly waives any claim to restrict or limit Takbir’s promotional use of publicly published courses. This right applies only while the Teacher's account and course remain active, subject to Clause 3.4 upon termination.
By accepting and agreeing to these Teaching Account Terms, the Teaching Account acknowledges and authorizes Takbir to use enrolled students' contact information and enrollment history for the purpose of promoting the Teaching Account's courses and other courses, programs, and educational offerings available on the Takbir platform.
This may include sending students course recommendations, promotional emails, SMS messages, or in-app notifications about new, related, or other courses available on the platform.
This authorization is part of Takbir's standard platform operations and by agreeing to these Terms, the Teaching Account grants Takbir permission to use the applicable student information for the promotional purposes described in the terms..
Students retain the right to opt out of promotional communications at any time in accordance with Takbir's Privacy Policy.
This clause does not change or independently determine ownership of student data; it establishes the authorization granted to Takbir to use the applicable student information for the promotional purposes described above.
We may update these Terms periodically to clarify guidelines or reflect new practices. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a platform notice. Your continued use of Takbir as a Teacher after changes are effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
For any questions or concerns, please contact our Support Team at [email protected].
Violation of these Terms - including but not limited to breach of content exclusivity (Section 3.1), subject matter restrictions (Section 2), or conduct requirements (Section 1) - may result in content removal, account suspension, withholding of pending payouts, and/or legal action for breach of this Agreement. Teachers may dispute a suspension or termination decision by contacting support within 14 days of notification, consistent with the process outlined in Takbir's Terms of Use, Section 2.2.
